What to bring

To help your Kanga Cup match days run smoothly, make sure players and families come prepared:

  • Player ID and Match Official Accreditation

All players must always carry their required identification (student card). Match officials must wear accreditation lanyard in all technical areas.

  • Water bottles and snacks

  • Boots and shin guards

  • Team bench/seating for technical area (optional)

  • Weather Expectations

Kanga Cup is held in July, which means crisp Canberra mornings and cool, sunny days - perfect football weather.

Morning matches can be cold, especially early in the day, so players and families should dress in layers and be ready to warm up properly. As the day goes on, temperatures usually rise, making afternoon matches more comfortable.

We recommend bringing:

  • Warm jackets, beanies and gloves for early starts

  • Layers that are easy to remove for afternoon games

  • Sunscreen, even on cooler days
