Free entry for McDonald’s Kanga Cup participants
2009 McDonald’s Kanga Cup participants will gain free entry into the showcase fixture on Sunday at the AIS Track between the Hyundai A-League’s Central Coast Mariners and Capital Football’s President’s XI.
Fresh from their Asian Champions League campaign, the Mariners are in the National Capital for their annual pre-season camp which sees them take to the field twice while in town.
The Mariners last night kept their unbeaten record in Canberra with nearly 600 spectators braving the chilly conditions to see them defeat ACT Premier League side, Belconnen United, 3-0.
The AIS Athletics Field will play host to the second fixture with the Mariners to line up against a Premier League select eleven which will be sure to entertain the aspiring junior footballers in attendance.
Along with the McDonald’s Kanga Cup participants, the Hyundai A-League side will make their way to the AIS Arena for the Opening Ceremony of the largest youth football tournament in the southern hemisphere at 4pm.
To avoid confusion, everyone under the age of 18 will receive free entry into the fixture at the AIS Athletics Field with valid photo identification.
