International Teams
The McDonald’s Kanga Cup is a youth based club/association tournament that takes place every July. For 2009, the event will take place from July 12 to July 17. The first Kanga Cup took place in 1991, so 2010 will be the 20th Kanga Cup.
The McDonald’s Kanga Cup provides an opportunity for participants to meet players from all over Australia as well as the world. Past participants have been from Australia, Chinese Taipei, Denmark, England, East Timor, Fiji, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Italy, New Zealand, People’s Republic of China, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, the United States and others.
Social and cultural exchange is encouraged between competitors throughout the tournament, with a wide range of social activities available for participants and officials making the tournament a “cultural festival of football”. The Kanga Cup Organising Committee is very keen on attracting international teams, so contact the Kanga Cup Office if there is a way we can help you send a team.
